What's Going on in the Basin?

The Grant-Platte/Sugar-Pecatonica Basins are located in the southwest corner of Wisconsin, including all or parts of Grant, Lafayette, Iowa, Green, Dane and Rock counties. The Grant and Platte rivers flow directly into the Mississippi River; the Sugar and Pecatonica rivers join in Illinois and flow into the Rock River, then onward into the Mississippi.

On this website you will find information about activities, events, conservation and natural resource clubs, and agency personnel in the basin.  Look under Projects and Events to see grazing and stream monitoring work in the region.  Learn about becoming a Water Action Volunteer.  Find contact information for a county or state natural resources professional.  See sources of funding for natural resource projects.
