NU00-39 Project Title:

Pigeon River Watershed Nutrient Management Project

Current Status:

  Active

Project Summary:

This project will target rural sources by providing both classroom training and follow-up field experience for producers and local agency staff to develop and implement an effective nutrient management plan. The specific format for this project will follow the statewide UW-Extension curriculum. Ten farmers (five in each county) will be selected to participate in the project. Farms will be targeted in the Pigeon River EQIP Priority Area. Successful completion of this project will lead to the development and implementation of effective nutrient  management plans at key sites, as well as establish the necessary training process and management skills to expand nutrient management planning throughout Waupaca and Shawano counties in the future.
