NU00-41 Project Title:

Bad Axe Nutrient Management Education and Implementation Project

Current Status:

  Active

Project Summary:

The Bad Axe Watershed is primarily a dairy farming area with limited resources. This project will directly educate the producers on a simplified process of determining fields with waste spreading restrictions and crop nutrient needs. The project will also deal with tillage systems, accessibility in the winter, manure analysis and spreader calibration. A farmer will have a note card, which explains all he or she needs to know to properly spread manure.
