Nutrient Management Farmer Education Program |

Project Summary: |
This project will provide training on the principles of nutrient management for 15-20 farmers per year and help the farmer participants to develop their own nutrient management plans following the UW-Extension Nutrient Management Program Curriculum. The training will consist of three workshops. The first workshop will cover nitrogen management. The second will cover phosphorus and potassium management. The third workshop will be an entire day and allow participants to come in at scheduled hours and receive individual help in writing their own plans. The program will include Irish/Gill Creek, EQIP Priority Area, and the Beaver Dam River Priority Watershed, which are Priority Watershed Areas. The Dodge County Land Conservation Department along with NRCS will provide staff to assist program participants in preparing conservation plans. |
