Summary of Results
| A 7-page survey was mailed to representatives in all
of the known lake associations and lake districts in
Southeastern Wisconsin. The eight counties that
were included (Sheboygan, Washington, Ozaukee, Waukesha,
Milwaukee, Walworth, Racine and Kenosha) were selected as
they represent the DNR's and UW-Extension's boundaries
for Southeastern Wisconsin. Of the 122 lake
representatives chosen to complete the survey, 68
responded, resulting in a 56% response rate. The survey addressed the five following
topics: 1) physical condition of the lake; 2)
recent lake management practices; 3) lake
organization/association general information; 4)
organizations activities and views; and 5)

The mean lake size is 737 acres, ranging from 15 to 5,426
