Landowner's Objectives

Like most landowners, the owners of this property have several objectives that guide the management of their forestland. Their objectives include producing timber, enhancing wildlife habitat, and maintaining recreational opportunities.

The clear cut harvest described on this website occurred as detailed in their management plan. The objective for this harvest was to regenerate oak by performing a commercial clear cut. When harvesting, certain trees, particularly conifers, were left uncut for wildlife purposes.
