Within the Forest Features and Products section there are four segments with information about woodland features in Wisconsin.

How Trees Grow Woodland Products Commercial Species and Systems Woodland Soil Basics

The first part, How Trees Grow, provides useful information on how to plan for timber harvesting. By understanding how your forest grows, and the changing composition of woodlands, you will increase yields. In the Woodland Products segment, you will find information on timber and non-timber related products from your woods. In the Commercial Species and Systems segment, you will find information on silivicultural systems and types of commercial trees on your property. And lastly, the Woodland Soil Basics segment provides useful information on soil type and compaction as well as best management practices.
