The landowners have identified the following goals for their property:


1). Improve the forest’s health.
Specific Objective: Improve forest health so that the gypsy moth does not gain a stronghold on the property.

2). Provide periodic income.
Specific Objective: Generate income through sustainably harvesting forest products to help cover property taxes and forest management expenses.

3). Establish white pine under the hardwood trees and maintain large white pine for as long as possible for aesthetic reasons.

4). Regenerate aspen to maintain wildlife habitat.

5). Minimize the visual impact of harvest operations through modified silvicultural practices and intensive slash management.

6). Protect and enhance Cedar Creek.

7). Improve and extend the trail network on the property for recreational use and future thinning/harvesting operations.
